SUMMARY
This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to keeping accounts and records in the Accounting Department of the Hospital. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Assists with Accounts Payable check preparation function to ensure consistency with established Hospital procedures for Evangelical Community Hospital and Evangelical Medical Services Organization. This process includes assisting with processing and printing checks, related reports, preparing and distributing accounts payable checks.
2. Prepares and maintains account reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
3. Assists in ensuring accuracy of accounting and statistical data on reports prepared by the Accounting Department.
4. Counts and verifies cash received from hospital and affiliate organization departments, maintains daily credit card deposits and assists in preparation of bank deposits, and prepares daily cash log for Electronic Fund transfers.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field.
2. Two years of prior accounting experience is preferred.
3. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required.
