Accounting Clerk Job at Potomac Supply LLC
The Teal-Jones Group, Potomac Supply, LLC. is searching for an Accounting Clerk to join our growing operation in Kinsale, VA.
The Accounting Clerk would report to the Financial Controller and would assist in a wide variety of accounting and finance functions.
***This job is not a remote or work from home position, and the individual selected for this role will sit onsite at the Kinsale, VA office***
Specific Duties:
- Accounts Receivable to Include Processing Invoices and Cash Receipts
- Filing AR
- Contacting Customers for Payment or Any Payment Discrepancies
- Update Customers with new W-9s and Sales Tax Exemption
- Prepare Weekly Cash Receipts Log
- Update Accounting Spreadsheets - Utilities
- Check Outside Contractors Invoices with Time Cards
- Scan and maintain Timber Tract Files
- File and Update Certificate of Insurance Files, W9 Files and Sales & Use Tax for Vendors- Contact Vendor when certificate Expires
- Copying Sales Tax Files
- Filing AP and log tickets
- Assist with Monthly Physical Inventory
- Make and scan copies for auditors upon request
- Create New Files for New Year -- Box Up Old Year
- Cross Train for Accounts Payable
- Additional duties as assigned
Skills Required:
- Strong and Accurate Data Entry Skills
- Excel Skills
- Consistently meet the overall goals of the Accounting Department, timely performance of duties
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills
- Detail oriented and accurate
- Work independently while following instructions with appropriate level of self-direction
- Interact positively with coworkers, vendors, and customers
