Accounting Clerk
Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for ensuring that vendor invoices are accounted timely and correctly. The vendors are paid promptly and the vendor accounts are maintained and reconciled periodically. To ensue that statutory provisions with respect to Sales and use tax provisions.
Role Description:
- Timely payment to Vendors
- Compliance to Sales and tax provisions
- Assist in finalization for quarterly and annual account closing
- Assist in Risk assessment of the processes
- Effective utilization of resources
- Ageing of creditors
- Material receipt and accounting status
- Inventory verification and reporting (both Indirect and direct material)
- Advance to vendors analysis
- Maintenance of vendor bills and related correspondences
- Compliance to statutes
- Review of general ledger accounts with respect to vendors and payables
- Responding to requirement of internal and Statutory Auditors’ reports and mother plant in India
- Ensures purchase orders and relevant material receipt documents before processing payments
- Ensures bills processing on time
- Ensures follow up with user towards advance closing
- Complies to purchase order terms and condition on vendor transactions
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Associate Degree preferred
- 1 year accounting experience
- Experience in SAP environment
