Position Title: Accounting Manager

Location: 100% onsite Lenexa, KS

Salary: $100-115k

Bonus program - 10% eligible manager bonus (last year best year in 80 years paid out 18% though that won't be every year).

Job Description:

This role will be responsible for leading and monitoring the daily operations of the Accounting Department, researching and resolving issues impacting the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.

• Manage, direct and lead the accounting operations staff (including payroll, accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliation, sales and use tax, etc.)
• Manage loan accounting, investment accounting and financial reporting activities
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records as well as the timely close of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting periods
• Oversee processing of vendor invoices and expense reimbursement requests; manage third party relationship with A/P solution provider
• Serve as a liaison between Finance and Accounting

Minimum Qualifications:

• Well-rounded knowledge of US GAAP, accounting policies and procedures
• Ability to lead and supervise staff effectively
• Organizational and planning skills, strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Advanced personal computer, calculator, spreadsheet and word processing skills

Minimum Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
• 5 years of related accounting experience
• Solid knowledge Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
