Job Responsibilities & Description for Accounts Payable and Payment Specialists:

• Handles expense invoices
• Processing high volume invoices that require coding; 100-200 per day!
• Keying and making sure the invoices have the proper approvals
• Process vendor invoices - code, input, and prepare invoices for payment.
• Process reviews all invoices for appropriate and accurate documentation and approval.
• Ensure that all vendors are paid in a timely manner and monitoring discount opportunities.
• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal team to correct or resolve invoice issues.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Participate in weekly check runs.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research and resolve discrepancies.
• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Assists accounting department with other tasks and projects as needed.

Job Requirements for Accounts Payable and Payment Specialists:

• 2+ years experience in an Accounts Payable or Payment Processing role
• Must have 3-way matching experience with Purchase Orders/Invoices
• Must have experience with EDI (Electronic Invoices)
• Ability to be both fast and accurate in a high-volume setting
• Must be reliable with strong work ethic
• Experience working with invoices applied to purchase orders
• Statement reconciliation experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must be organized and able to manage time effectively
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Strong phone/customer service skills
• Knowledge using MS Office products
