How Will You Make a Difference?
- Enter approved vouchers into accounting system, Elite Enterprise and/or Aderant, for processing based on the firm’s policies and procedures.
- Correspond with vendors and employees to effectively handle and resolve inquiries through research and communication of response/resolution.
- Respond timely to questions related to the firm’s AP process (FRAPP) and employee reimbursements (Concur).
- Prepare and process accounts payable checks, wire transfers and ACH payments through Elite Enterprise. Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly.
- Maintain vendor files and documentation, in accordance with company policy.
- Responsible for the proper setup of new vendors, including the understanding of W-9 and 1099 IRS requirements.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
- Interact with attorneys and managers to ensure the proper coding and approval of invoices.
- Assist with annual financial audit.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
What Will You Bring to the Table?
- General business knowledge and ability to read, write, and perform clerical tasks at a level normally acquired through completion of high school or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of progressive accounts payable processing experience, preferably in a service industry.
- Strong technical orientation including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with Elite time and billing software or Aderant time and billing software a plus.
- Demonstrate ability to perform multiple tasks under limited supervision, pay close attention to details, follow tasks to completion, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with all levels of legal, management and support staff.
- Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances.
