Position Description:
Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk
Central Valley Towing has 30 years of experience, you can depend on us for any truck towing needs. We have the tow trucks necessary to get the job done properly and safely. We are seeking an enthusiastic and team oriented individual to join our team with an AP and AR focus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Payable (Process payments for vendors);
Prepare daily general journal entries;
Assist the accounting department with data input, data corrections and reports;
Respond to IRS and other agency notices:
Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for services rendered
Track payments received
Researching and resolving account discrepancies
Processing and recording transactions.
Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
Monitor incoming emails
Deposit checks
Generating reports and statements for internal use.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Necessary Qualifications:
Two years or more experience working in an accounting position;
High School diploma or GED is required;
Knowledge of general accounting (Balance sheets, P&Ls, journal entries, reconciliations, etc.);
Excellent, advanced knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
Proficient in MS Word and Outlook;
Proficient with 10-Key;
Must be professional, flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment.
Excellent communications skills;
Customer service oriented;
Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
Genuine team player;
Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour DOE
