Responsibilities:

  • Manages ACCOUNTS PAYABLE. Includes, Vendor Relations, the AP disbursement group including check disbursements, and 1099s.
  • Manages accounting functions including maintenance of accounts payable, ensures accuracy OF CHARGE CODE, AMOUNTS, and timeliness.
  • Maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Create Vendor PO?s. Code and enter A/P and PO invoices into accounting system ?Deltek GCS?.
  • Respond to Vendor Inquiry.
  • Acts as a liaison between the company, government and external accountants to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes.
  • Assists program manager with issuing Task Orders and PO?s.
  • Perform daily payroll department operations
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
  • Execute time in Deltek time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
  • Perform compliances for unclaimed property payroll checks
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc)
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
  • Process manual check and relocation metric?s
  • Load import files received from HR
  • Research and email appropriate audience of file issues
  • Respond to Employee payroll requests.
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient knowledge of payroll systems preferably ADP
  • Three years of Payroll experience
  • Three to five or more years of accounting experience in a government contracting environment.
  • Must have Deltek GCS experience and proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
  • Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
