AmeriVet is a leading veterinary group of 190 practices in 34 states. With the rapid growth we are experiencing, we are looking for an individual ready to learn and develop themselves alongside us! The Accounts Payable Specialist directs and manages all vendor maintenance and payment functions. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be a key member of the team that has significant interaction with clinic employees and leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain vendor master file and process all additions and changes in accordance with Company policy
- Verify that all invoices are approved and properly coded
- Prepare and maintain batch files for recurring monthly payments
- Work cross-functionally with regional managers to maintain accounts payable procedures and ensure accuracy of books and records
- Prepare weekly pre-check runs for CFO approval
- Respond to all vendor inquiries
- Purchasing card reconciliation, coding and posting
- Reconcile vendor statements monthly
- Assist with off-cycle AP / check requests and maintain tight controls over this process
- Perform other job responsibilities and assist with other projects as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of relevant AP experience
- Experience with multi-site operations
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Ariett is highly desired
- Experience in a high growth (primarily acquisition) environment is preferred
