JJob Description

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist to join our construction and supply company located in Naples, FL. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter that is comfortable multitasking. The Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist will work closely with the accounts payable/bookkeeper and under the direct supervision of the Controller.

Responsibilities

• Generate timely and accurate customer invoices on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Maintain and improve customer contract folders as well as the documentation process for invoices
• Prepare bank deposits and process all customer payments in the accounting system
• Monitor accounts receivable aging report to ensure timely customer payments while communicating with managers to ensure overdue invoices are addressed with customer
• Assist in resolving customer inquiries regarding invoicing and payment process
• Perform accounts receivable reconciliation on a monthly basis
• Assist in reconciling vendor invoices and accurately distributing costs among customers for invoicing purposes
• Assist in gathering and compiling data to generate monthly revenue reports as well as other reports relevant to accounts receivable
• Generate WIP reports
• Manage all lien releases and rent collection
• Collection calls and/or correspondence with all customers across multiple company locations nationwide.
• Enter approved billing adjustments to customer accounts, including credit memos, discounts, and approved credits.
• Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts and providing detailed updates on all delinquent accounts.
• Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to field questions about rates and charges.
• Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the accounting department

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ A/R experience
• 2+ years’ QuickBooks experience
• MS Office, Excel and MS Outlook
• Advanced mathematical and logical deduction skills
• Experience with customer service and client communication
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in multiple business entities

Education

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred
