JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Work Experience: Prior experience in activities preferred but not required.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Must have the ability to interact well with the geriatric population, families, and co-workers. Must have a caring, positive attitude and good organizational skills.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide and document one to one visits for identified residents according to the plan of care. Follow the direction of the Activity Coordinators in providing, monitoring, and documenting daily activities as outlined on the monthly calendar. Provides a pre-meal activity for each meal while on duty and assists with dining room set up. Prepares and delivers snacks to residents twice daily at 10:00am and 3:00pm. Documents acceptance or refusal. Manages haircuts and perms for the residents per the Beauty Shop Protocol. Develop and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
