Utilize actuarial knowledge and ideas to validate system calculations using Business Analyst and Quality Analyst concepts and skills.

Work closely with our business partners to identify the need for change in how our people and systems work. Business analysts contribute to the design, development, testing, troubleshooting and deployment of business solutions. This position will work closely with product and financial actuaries to define new products and system enhancements to the policy administration systems, as well as, testing values/calculations and values-driven data generated on the policy administration systems.

What you do

  • Develop in-depth knowledge around our Individual Life, Annuity and Disability Income product portfolio
  • Strong math skills with the ability to read and understand complex calculations
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills including the ability to read and understand VBA
  • Troubleshoot policy values calculations, working with developers and actuaries to determine desired outcome
  • Responsible for writing Data Requirement Documents (DRD)
  • Conducts elicitation activities to obtain needed information from stakeholders to form requirements (routinely work with product actuaries to define requirements for new products on the policy administration system or financial actuaries to define requirements for regulatory and financial reporting data requirements)
  • Captures and documents elicitation findings from elicitation sessions
  • Conducts reviews ensuring testability, accuracy, and consistency of requirements, technical designs, and test grids
  • Provides input into planning, designing, and executing tests for automated and manual testing related to policy values
  • Responsible for developing and executing tests for assigned work normally related to the testing of policy administrative system values
  • Assists with production support activities related to policy value verification and analysis
What you bring

  • 0-2 years of related skill and competency experience required
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
  • Strong math or actuarial background desired
  • Ability to perform/compute complex insurance calculations desired
