Position Title: Administrative Assistant Salary/ Hourly: Hourly


General Summary

Sunbelt Forest Products is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented candidate to provide administrative support to the operations team. Key tasks include data entry, running reports, analyzing data, and HR support. Must be safety conscious, able to work in an office environment, and communicate clearly and effectively.


Requirements Knowledge

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma/ GED required
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Detail oriented, analytical, ability to problem solve

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with management to assist with their staffing needs
    • Posting jobs and screening applicants
    • Managing temporary agencies and employee
    • Compliance with pre-employment drug test screening
  • Ensure all new hires have access to the Employee Self Service system and complete their benefits enrollment
  • Identify, research, communicate, and assist in resolving administrative problems
  • Assist with accounting functions in accordance with established procedures and company policy
  • Reviewing internal control checklist with management
  • Assist with inventory issues in the system and participates on inventory counts as needed
  • Miscellaneous production reporting and production data entry
  • Cross train in all departments to perform duties as needed
  • Answer phone calls and basic customer questions
  • Scan and file inventory lists, update inventory information, inventory reporting
  • Performs other duties as required
