The Department of Community Health is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Support 3 - Open Records with the Healthcare Facility Regulation Division. This is a hybrid position based in Atlanta that requires in-office and remote work with the approval of the supervisor. The days and frequency in the office can change at any time during employment based on the business needs of the organization.

Job Responsibilities

The Administrative Support 3 - Open Records position, under broad supervision, performs a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions/processes or a few specialized or essential clerical functions in support of a unit or office and related personnel.

  • Reviews and analyzes requests for public records from attorneys, the media, and other parties.
  • Corresponds daily with DCH program administrators, outside vendors, and requesting parties to coordinate fulfillment of Open Records Act requests.
  • Maintains calendar and scheduling of Open Records Act requests.
  • Performs a detailed review and analysis of responsive records before disclosure to remove/redact any exempt contents such as trade secret data or protected health information.
  • Coordinates responses to requests for production of documents and other legal requests.
  • Processes and tracks payments for Open Records Requests.
  • May enter data and/or process documents and records.
  • The work includes operating standard office equipment (computer, printer, fax, telephone).

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED AND four (4) years of progressively complex office and/or administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates, who have an administrative support background and in addition to meeting the qualifications listed above, possess the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality documentation with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
