Crossroads Youth & Family Services, Inc. is seeking an Administrative Assistant for its Education Engine location in Comanche County. Under the general supervision of the Head Start/ Early Head Start Director (HS/EHS Director), the Administrative Assistant performs varied administrative duties requiring independent judgment and application of Head Start Performance Standards.

Education/Experience

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED;
• Associates degree or business college degree preferred;
• Minimum two (2) years of successful experience in an office setting.

License:

• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain acceptable liability insurance

Knowledge:

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter with proven ability to address challenges and work with a results-orientated team. Must be comfortable working in a project driven environment. Individuals must be able to clearly identify objectives and meet end goals. Ability to balance long-range vision with an appropriate attention to detail.
• Must be able to understand and explain technical topics such as PC performance, backup, and security issues.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple activities.
• Experience with data management systems, basic computer software programs and willingness to attend targeted computer classes as needed.
• Interest in working in an early childhood education program environment.
• Knowledge of an ability to comply with Head Start Performance Standards.
