ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track daily census, daily deposits and perform monthly reconciliation.
  • Tracking and process all documents needed for billing.
  • Assist with HMS audits.
  • Process Medicaid applications.
  • Acts as a liaison between facility and all community groups and agencies.
  • Utilize appropriate sales/marketing techniques. (i.e., tours to prospective patients’ families, etc.).
  • Assure detailed completion of all admission, discharge and transfer records manually as well as computer-generated.
  • Coordinate and manage accurate admission files, records and policy books.
  • Has knowledge of admission computer software and able to utilize it effectively including electronic referral systems.
  • Demonstrates the ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate all admission activity with a focus on processing admission paperwork and computer-generated forms and reports.
  • Assists in the coordination of all admissions to facility in accordance with budgeted census projections.
  • Assists in the coordination of all admission activities and documentation with all respective departments.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Must have as a minimum two (2) years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting practice. Experience in health care preferred but not required.
