To help us continue our commitment to making a real difference, we are currently looking for an Admission / Marketing Coordinator to join our team.
Job Summary:
Pahrump Health and Rehab Center is currently looking for a community relations professional to be our Admissions / Marketing Coordinator. This is a great position working within the healthcare community. The ideal candidate will facilitate the admissions process for all new residents, as well as maintain existing working relations with referral sources, as well as actively seek opportunities to promote the Center.
Regarding COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate(s)
EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC will require ALL new-hires to have the 1st dose (of a 2-dose Pfizer or Moderna, or 1-dose J&J) by January 27, 2022. After this time, any new-hire not vaccinated with at least the first dose (in a 2-dose series, or fully with a 1-dose series) will NOT be allowed to begin work until the criteria has been met. Medical and/or Religious exemptions must be communicated to Human Resources prior to start of employment. In an effort to keep your employment experience as efficient as possible, please be aware of this requirement and take the necessary actions above prior to your employment with EmpRes Healthcare.

Essential Functions:
Admissions:
  • Working with hospitals and families in the admitting process and building a good professional relationship with hospitals in the community.
  • Taking inquiry calls from hospitals, potential residents, family members, etc. while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Providing on-site Center tours for any family members or potential residents.
  • Manage the general admission process for all potential new residents which may include confirming any and all insurances for the resident are accepted for services and currently active, running common working files, obtaining pre-authorization (when needed), making sure all documentation that is required for admissions are completed, and working with nursing staff to ensure that new admissions can have their needs met by nursing staff and other members of the facility.
  • When admission determinations are made, working with nursing, social services, and housekeeping on appropriate room and bed selections.
  • On call responsibilities
Marketing:
  • Traveling and marketing to hospitals and other facilities in the Pahrump and Las Vegas areas (mileage and expenses are reimbursed).
  • Building and maintaining professional relationship with other hospitals and nursing facilities.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written format.
  • Ability to interact effectively either as a leader or as a member of a team, work collaboratively with other departments and outside contacts.
  • Organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to implement and monitor progress for successful completion; work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
  • Capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Knowledge of emergency and disaster processes.
  • Work alongside other managers and staff members in a professional work environment.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Maintaining on-going personal education through attending appropriate professional seminars, continuing education classes, self-study programs, etc.
Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in business/communications or related field preferred.
Previous healthcare and community relations experience preferred.
