National Fiber Construction in Whitmore Lake, MI

Our AE Crews & Linemen are responsible for installing telecommunications lines in the right of way & within private easements. We install and repair fiber optic cable & coaxial cable lines for various national & local telecommunications companies. We’re looking for ambitious & talented aerial lineman looking to showcase their skills and grow with our company!

Responsibilities

*Read and interpret engineering plans *Must be comfortable with heights & elevated platforms (must be able to work at heights of 20+’ feet) *Understand & follow separation and clearance regulations *Keep detailed record of work activity *Ability to safely operate a bucket truck *Experience climbing poles with gaffs *Experience with wood pole fall-arrest equipment *Experience climbing poles with ladders *Utilize standard telecommunications tools *Operate chain hoists & specialty equipment *Experience with equipment used to install grounding rods and anchors *Proficient in new build, copper, coax & fiber installation and pole transfers *Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment *Assist with loading of various materials onto trucks and/or trailers *Operate vehicle, following all safety and traffic regulations *Keep work areas clean and organized *Any and all other duties assigned by supervisor/foreman *Must be able to perform heavy physical work and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner. *Must be able to lift, reach, dig and carry heavy objects with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and infrequent lifting of up to 100 pounds (assistance provided).

Qualifications

*5 years of aerial lineman experience *A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent *Clean driving record (commercial driver’s license preferred, but not required) *All applicants must follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment at all times. *Flexibility to work in multiple locations with multiple crews *Must be organized & able to perform duties with limited supervision

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $25.00 - $40.00/hour.
