Salary Range: $90,444.78/year to $113,055.66/year

The Position

Oversees the implementation and monitoring of the affordable housing compliance, which includes but is not limited to: Section 504, Limited English Proficiency (“LEP”), and other fair housing and civil rights requirements. Acts as the hearing officer for public housing and Housing Choice Voucher (“HCV”)/Section 8 application denials and terminations. Prepares responses to fair housing complaints as assigned. Provides training and advice to staff regarding interpretation of policy, city ordinance, federal and state law.

  • Sick leave is accrued at 6 hours per month.

Minimum Qualifications at the Time of Application

  • Graduation from accredited school of law with attainment of a J.D. degree.
  • Valid Colorado driver license and good driving record must be maintained in accordance with personnel policy.
  • Two (2) years’ experience related to affordable housing, employment or similar.
  • Admission by the Supreme Court of the State of Colorado to practice law in the State of Colorado at the time of application and in good standing with the State Bar of Colorado.
