Agricultural Business Development Supervisor

• Step into a valued role as the company representative to our valued egg farmers & ultimate overseer of our poultry farms
• Supervise the integration of new producers into our partnership program
• Work with producers to optimize production and house design/layouts to foster cost savings and mutual benefits
• Provide support to connect partner producers with people who can help them
• Execute WEF’s vision for new market opportunities in the poultry space
• Monitor & record the feed costs for our producers and communicate with the feed mills
• Manage & update agriculture compliance paperwork and schedules (organic, CA, Certified Humane, & USDA)
• Communicate with servicepeople & farmers to update the flock schedules and maintain compliance
• Run accurate and updated flock projections for management decisions
• Maintain farms as approved vendors per FSMA & SQF requirements
• Collaborate with servicepeople and farmers on egg color, nutrition, & size
• Perform farm inspections to verify compliance
• Attend FDA farm inspections and organic & industry meetings
• Improve hen lifestyle to reduce loss & save costs
• Develop & implement supply growth strategies
• Monitor biosecurity supplies at the farm
• Travel to farms across Pennsylvania

We are looking for a full-time Agricultural Business Development Supervisorto be the face of our company by networking, projecting our egg harvest, overseeing our flocks, maintaining direct contact with the producers, and keeping all the paperwork in regulation order. Our Ideal Agricultural Business Development Supervisor:

• Experienced: 1-3 years of related experience and/or training in farming, agriculture, or poultry work; willing to complete biosecurity training.
• Attention to Detail: Organized & accurate with document creation and record keeping.
• Flexible: Ability to prioritize a long to-do list and adapt your schedule to fit the day's needs; able to work on multiple projects/tasks confidently and meet deadlines.
• Organization: Strong organization ability with great attention to accuracy and consistency.
• Entrepreneur: looking to grow and develop a business segment
• Team Player: Someone who is professional, positive & encouraging, and responsible for team coordination & managing projects. Humble enough to admit mistakes & driven to do a great job.
• Relational: Comfortable networking and building relationships in the farm community, including with conservative Anabaptist and Amish farmers.
• Computer: Proficient in or can quickly learn Microsoft Office Suite & Excel for data entry & running projections.
• Active:Able to do light lifting, climb ladders and navigate farms for meetings and inspections
