Cavalier Logistics is seeking a full-time Air Export Agent to join our Bio Pharma Services team. A well-qualified Air Export Agent will process and execute the transportation documents for export cargo consignments while both exceeding the client’s service requests and ensuring maximum profitability for the company. Responsibilities will include determining routing of Biopharma services and international freight, review of all documentation and forms, maintaining communication with clients, and review of export process on a regular basis.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Communicate regularly with customers in a polite and professional manner and solve daily issues (while coordinating with internal colleagues, as necessary)
  • Research rates and routings; create routing orders and quotations
  • Verifying documentation and in compliance with US and foreign government regulations, export declarations, certificates of origin and in related documents
  • Receive bookings from customers or overseas offices
  • Submitting AES details for all shipments
  • Biopharma services SOP and temperature control on special freight
  • Inform customers about other available services to gain additional business
  • Update customers on local / international rules and regulations
  • Review all documents received from customers for accuracy
  • Follow up with origin / local offices on shipment status
  • Provide quotes to customers and international agents
  • Collect all commercial and shipping documents from customer or origin office well in advance of shipment execution
  • Professionally and proactively update customers with shipment status; update overseas offices and customers about potential delays or unusual circumstances
  • Review the job file check list to ensure all required actions have been completed
  • Provide timely feedback to Sales and Customers for shipment discrepancies
  • Create reports per instructions from Sales or according to customer requirements
  • Update internal parties with the most up-to-date Quotations / routing orders / SOPs
  • Escalate potential issues and ensure corrective actions are taken in accordance with business guidelines and customer requirements
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by management

Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Dangerous goods acceptance training
  • Air cargo security training
  • TSA security escort training
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Ability to work with demanding deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Desired Education:
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
