Essential Functions:

  • Support the Unbranded Sales Analytics Manager & Director Unbranded Sales with data and analytics that drive margin and sales of more than 1.5 billion annual gallons of fuel across Sunoco’s unbranded network
  • Position requires building analytical tools, technical models, strong judgement, leadership skills and work ethic.
  • Provides product, terminal, competitive landscape, sales, margins and pricing elasticity that drive $50M of annual gross margin.
  • Provide oversight for actual to budget performance, sales forecasts, Hedge book analysis to identify areas of risk/opportunity
  • Drive strategic alignments across key departments around, inventory management, replenishment costs, & product allocations
  • Research, analyze, and implement data analytics across a diverse unbranded fuel business
  • Provide accurate statistical data and recommend changes in strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Provide broad business knowledge and problem-solving capabilities to assure sound analyses, recommendations, and actionable insights across a wide range of sales performance indicators (new business, account retention, pricing, etc.)
  • Provide insights on all pertinent sales performance metrics and activities by supplying ongoing, timely, and meaningful analysis of actual sales performance and other sales initiatives
  • Build consultative relationships with the Unbranded sales team to help bring your analytical and strategic skills to their day-to-day routines.

Essential Requirements:
Experience, Educational & Special Training Required

  • BS in MIS, Finance, Business, Economics
  • 2-5 years technical experience required.
  • Data and reporting infrastructure using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, (other systems...) to provide real time insights into the pricing environment
  • High analytical skills, coding, data mining, experience building of internal facing dashboards
  • Handles complex projects with little supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with internal stakeholders to report on KPIs across different business channels
  • Strong work ethic and drive
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize new technology platforms for data analysis
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills to deliver effective, confident, and actionable insights
  • Developed interpersonal skills to function as an integral part of multiple teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge of visual analysis applications and sales intelligence software (preferably Power BI) Knowledge and experience using Salesforce.com
