Application Security Engineer Job at Hyertek
As a HyerTek Security Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting one or more U.S. Federal Government clients based in the Washington, DC Metro area.
** This role is pending federal budget approval **
The candidate must have the minimum skill set:
- 4+ Years' experience with developing and evaluating security documentation, including system security plans, contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plans
- Experience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshooting
- Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Experience with working in an Agile development environment using the JIRA tracking tool
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of onboarding
Nice If You Have:
Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC)- Experience with the cloud technologies
- Possession of excellent team leadership, development, and client relationship skills
- Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to successfully interact with clients, engineers, and managers
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
- A minimum of an Active DoD/Civilian Security Active Clearance
