Job Description

SolidXperts is New England’s leading one-stop shop for everything 3D and is seeking a hybrid “Applications Engineer / Print Technician” to join our team of expert technical staff. Our clients use industry-leading engineering software, scanners, and 3D printers, and receive exceptional consulting and support.

Our partners include premier brands such as SOLIDWORKS, Markforged, Artec3D, Raise3D, and Nexa 3D. While our customers include firms such as Ben & Jerry’s, Stanley Black & Decker, Shell, and thousands more.

SolidXperts fosters and promotes growth! Technical employees are given unlimited access to SOLIDWORKS trainings and encouraged to obtain their SOLIDWORKS Certified Expert (CSWE). Employees are also given access to 3D printers and scanners, with the caveat that you must share your amazing projects with our marketing and social media team!

Tasks

  • Provide technical advice to both the client and sales team when evaluating suite of 3D solutions
  • Provide support for diagnosing and repair of 3D printers and 3D scanners
  • Manage and stock spare parts and accessories for 3D printers
  • Provide print job estimates and fulfill orders by operating 3D printers
  • Participate in trade shows, yearly rollouts, and SWUG meetings (SOLIDWORKS User Group Meetings)
  • Contribute technical content to marketing department and digital outlets, such as
  • Tech Tips / How-to Videos
  • Blog posts
  • Newsletters
  • Social media

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associates Engineering degree and strong CAD skills, preferably SOLIDWORKS
  • Prior use of 3D printers in a professional, educational, or personal setting
  • Basic computer skills including software installation, and experience with advanced desktop and cloud applications.
  • Customer service, organized, ability to multitask, problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
