We are seeking an experienced Group Home Manager (Traveling territory will include: Danielson/Brooklyn, Plainfield, Willimantic) who will oversee 4-6 group homes. Responsibilities include but not limited to; ensuring managers in your designated territory are trained in DDS guidelines and all licensing requirements via DDS knowledge and implementation purposes of policies and procedures. Strengths of this Area Manager are to include strong proven effective communication skills and both written and verbal as well as, structured organizational skills. Must have full certifications of CPR,FA, Med Cert, PMT.

Expectations: Full cycle of working with DDS and case manager for transitioning new IDD individuals into an opening within the group home; transition paperwork, follow through in a timely manner for coordinating with case manager. Knowledge of hiring practices. Knowledge of prep for Audits according to DDS licensing. Managerial oversight for accountability and encouraging managers to fully complete task, (their time management) paperwork and follow through of staffing oversight, DA's and full knowledge of union rules for quick responses. Must be consistent, reliable and able to multi-task within a short period to keep home environments fully engaged daily. Assist managers (support in and out of the homes), as necessary in emergency or stressful situations. Flexibility is key! This salary is a base. Stipends-periodically.
