Role:
The Sr. Manager of Technical Marketing, System Software, is part of the Product, Software and AI Solutions Marketing team located in San Jose (California), Longmont (Colorado), and Vancouver (British Columbia). The team is looking for an expert Marketing or Engineering leader to scale the teams’ ability to deliver customer focused solutions for AMD’s next generation Adaptable Compute and Acceleration Platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include managing all aspects of new product introduction both internally with all factory stakeholders and externally by interfacing directly with customers and sales teams worldwide.
- The candidate must be an unwavering customer advocate, championing the market-driven requirements of the customer to multiple internal cross-functional teams.
- The candidate must have the ability to understand multi-modal software and firmware payload schemes and explain how to construct these systems to both internal and external audiences.
- The candidate must be comfortable synthesizing customer requirements into actionable tasks for internal engineering stakeholders.
Preferred Experience:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience working with customers to architect robust software solutions.
- Direct experience working with customers/stakeholders to understand system requirements.
- Working knowledge of FPGA EDA workflows
- Experience architecting system-level software solutions with cross functional teams.
- Experience working with the following embedded software components
o Hypervisor solutions such as Xen and seL4
o Multi-processor synchronization schemes such as remoteproc and RPMsg
o RTOS’s such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, and Azure RTOS (formerly ThreadX)
o Linux build system such as Buildroot and Yocto Project
Education/Experience:
- BS/MS (Master's Degree preferred) in CS/EE with a minimum of 15+ years of relevant industry experience

Qualifications:
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
