Position Summary

Perform a variety of operations to assemble and test valves within a work cell of a value stream according to product specifications and quality standards. Achieves production goals to deliver on time, high-quality products to customer.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble valves with instruction and supervision in a work cell within the business unit.
  • Meet productivity targets for assigned cells.
  • Follow guidelines to assure proper set up for assembly and the actual assembly of product.
  • Inspect and test each product produced to assure it meets quality standards.
  • Pack product for shipping.
  • Apply standard operating procedures to complete work assignments thoroughly and accurately; identify and correct errors and pay attention to details.
  • Work with the cell team to meet or exceed production standards; complete work in a timely manner; plan and prioritize work.
  • Follow safety and 5S guidelines; maintain a clean and organized work area and use good safety judgement.
  • Understand ISO procedures and know where appropriate documentation is kept.
  • Share input in team improvement board and High Performance Team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 0 – 3 months experience in manufacturing environment, assembly preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to follow written/verbal instructions and directions in English
