Job Title: Assembly II - Custom Door/Frame Builder
Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
General Description:
Assembly III - Custom Door/Frame Builder team members are proficient in fulfilling standard and custom orders and are cross-trained in a variety of roles. The Production crew works as a team to ensure all sales orders are assembled and packed per schedule.
Essential Functions:
- Reads and verifies paperwork, work orders, or work instructions for product accuracy
- Performs door assembly operations to produce standard and custom doors
- Assembles doors to standard or custom work order specifications
- Verify quality of material and finished product
- Enter production data into computer to update status of work order.
- Performs housekeeping and preventative maintenance responsibilities as needed
- Train other operators on use of the equipment and following procedures
- Follows documented procedures, produces and ensures products meet or exceed established product specifications
- Performs other production/assembly functions as needed
Position Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform the essential duties and demonstrate the competencies associated with the Tubelite Assembly II - Door Builder position
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
- Previous assembly experience, required
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and work orders in English
- Ability to work in team environment at a fast pace to ensure production goals are met
- Must have demonstrated excellent attendance
- Must be able to read blueprints & templates
- Must have strong math skills
- Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
- Must have basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness and ability to cross-train into all assembly positions
- Have reliable transportation
Physical Demands:

- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
- Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and twist
- Must be able to work flexible hours (including over time) when required to meet customer demands
As a production team member individuals in this role are required to
- wear Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE") including - safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, ear plugs and hard hats as needed.
- work safely to ensure they or fellow employees do not incur bodily harm.
- use care and respect to ensure that equipment and/or property is not damaged.
- work together with others to keep the production area clean and free from hazards.
