Position Overview

Assistant Coordinator for Summer Work Experience Program is a year-round position that provides oversight and management of summer work for youth with disabilities in St. Louis County. Ability to manage program with multiple partners and oversee internal hiring for summer coaches. Outstanding time management, organization, and written/verbal communication skills required. Ability to establish ongoing relationship with stakeholders required. Local travel, independent transportation and liability insurance required. Mileage reimbursement and competitive benefits package provided.

Primary Duties:

1. Assist Coordinator with program management and oversight.

2. Establish professional and positive working relationships with referral sources, employers, partner agencies, and internal team members.

3. Update and maintain program paperwork as appropriate.

4. Assist Coordinator with program staff hiring annually.

5. Oversight of onboarding for summer coaches and all participants.

6. Maintain ongoing communication/reporting with partner agencies and referral sources.

7. Maintain timely and accurate billing of services on a monthly basis during program months.

8. Assist with obtaining satisfaction results and trends.

9. Assist as back up for Coordinator or internal team staff as assigned by Coordinator.

10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School/GED required with 2 years’ related work experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred with direct experience working in Social Services field. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
