Title: Full-Time Assistant Flower Farm Manager

South Side Blooms is a beautiful flower farm located in the heart of Chicago, and we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Flower Farm Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for flowers and an eagerness to learn and grow within our company.

Southside Blooms is a 501c3 nonprofit flower shop social enterprise with the mission of using sustainability to alleviate inner city poverty.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the health and appearance of our flower beds
• Planting, weeding, and harvesting flowers
• Assisting with the setup and breakdown of events and photoshoots
• Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed
• Keeping the farm clean, organized, and properly maintained
• Assist with leading youth, volunteers and all farm related labor.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a flower farm or horticulture setting is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be physically able to perform manual labor tasks, such as lifting and carrying heavy equipment up to 50lbs.
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to the Englewood neighborhood.

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Hours: full-Time/ 35-40hrs
