Facilities:
Dunwoody Country Club was founded in 1969 and is a private, member-owned, full service club located in Dunwoody, Georgia. Club facilities include an 18-hole championship golf course with full practice facility, 14 outdoor tennis courts, pool complex with snack bar, separate tennis clubhouse with banquet facility, Ballroom (seating up to 400), Private Wing (seating 20, 30, and 50), Mixed Grill (seating 140), Men’s Lounge, Halfway House, Fitness Facility. Gross revenues of $11 million.
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager works alongside the Director of Food & Beverage to help oversee the service of members and guests in the Grill, private event space, and pool dining. They strive to maintain the highest levels of service, consistency and professionalism among the staff. This energetic, positive, hardworking individual is an integral influencer of DCC culture. They are constantly seeking to improve themselves and those around them. While continuing their education through CMAA, they also participate in a close mentor/ mentee relationship with Director of Food & Beverage, & Assistant General Manager who are looking to grow and assist this aspiring professional in any way possible.
Educational Requirements
College Degree involving hospitality is preferred but not required
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Food & Beverage Supervisory position
Job Tasks
1. Serves as the most immediate manager for A la Carte or banquet servers and ensures high quality & consistent service in the dining room, private event space, and pool dining
2. Maintains a presence on the floor to visually monitor and ensure food quality and service standards are met.
3. Assists the Head Trainer with on-going development and training programs for service personnel
4. May serve as club’s opening or closing manager or manager on duty
5. Coordinates food service between kitchen and service staff
6. Addresses member and guest complaints promptly and reports on appropriate corrective actions that were taken
7. Maintains appearance, upkeep, and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment and facilities
8. Assists with service in other outlets for special events when needed
9. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Food & Beverage
