The Assistant Planner will help plan, purchase, and maintain inventory levels across all products, reporting to the Director, Planning and Supply Chain. Inventory is one the most important components in hitting our company objectives. The ideal candidate for this role embraces the challenges and responsibilities that go along with planning inventory. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in forecasting sales at a SKU level on a weekly/monthly basis and maintaining key metrics
  • Assist in projecting inventory needs based on sales forecasts, planned purchases, and merchandising needs for all sales channels (wholesale, eCommerce, and stores)
  • Enter and maintain all finished goods purchase orders to factories in support of sales needs
  • Maintain receipt dates on purchase orders
  • Monitor weekly shipment report from suppliers and escalates issues
  • Work closely with warehouse to ensure merchandise is being delivered and received in a timely manner
  • Assist in reconciling and approving supplier invoices
  • Allocate receipts to all sales channels based on sales forecasts
  • Partner with the Production Team on flow of goods and communicate to cross functional teams
  • Track and communicate on time deliveries for new product launches
  • Assist in making decisions to pull in or push out product to meet sales objectives
  • Manage the Retail channel inventory through optimal allocation strategies and assortment recommendations
  • Enter and maintain all Retail channel replenishment and newness set orders
  • Assist in maintaining KPIs that provide insights into inventory quality, best seller performance, and low stock alerts for core inventory
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop systems knowledge
  • Maintain all SKU attribute and pricing in ERP and Retail systems
  • Maintain various reports and performs ad-hoc analysis to assist in meeting sales objectives
  • Support the successful implementation of new systems and processes
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years in planning, buying or allocation
  • Experience at a fashion or retail company is preferred
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and provide insights
  • Strong proficiency in Excel required
  • Creative problem solver with high attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills grounded in analytics to have dialogue with peers and leadership regarding product decisions
  • Ability to work independently in a constantly changing and high growth entrepreneurial environment
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
