An Assistant Managers first and most important responsibility and accountability is to provide friendly, courteous service to our customer. He/She will assume the responsibilities of the Store Director in their absence. Assist in opening and closing duties which includes locking and securing the store. Making sure all employees are trained properly so that they will be successful in their role within the store. Preparing work schedules and assigning employees to duties as necessary. Responsible for stocking, maintaining merchandise in grocery and nonfood departments. Respond to any customers or employee complaints or inquiries.
Retail grocery experience is a plus when applying for an Assistant Store Director position, although the store will provide training as needed.
