Johnstone Supply in Bloomington, MN is looking to hire a full-time Assistant Warehouse Manager to help oversee our warehouse operations during our 2nd shift, working from 3:00 pm-12:00 am. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER

In this position, you keep our warehouse running smoothly. Each day, you conduct safety checks on our equipment to ensure that our team can work safely and efficiently. Whenever we need new equipment, you order it. Highly organized, you manage our inventory, making sure that we always have the supplies we need. As outgoing deliveries are prepared, you ensure that everything meets our company standards for quality, that the order slips are correct, and that they have the appropriate signatures.

Additionally, you assist with the hiring and training of new team members. You manage scheduling, ensuring that we have the proper amount of staff. Periodically, you help with performance evaluations, providing our team with constructive feedback. You oversee our daily workflow, ensuring that everything is happening in a timely manner. You find satisfaction in leading a team and successfully increasing our efficiency and profitability!


QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER

  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, such as standing for long periods of time and lifting up 75 lbs.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and more
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Basic math skills
  • Leadership skills
