ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, CONNECTIONS PLANNING
Havas Media Group North America, the Media Experience agency, is looking for an Associate Director to join the Connections Planning Team, part of our global community of 10,000 team members who are focused on using Meaningful Media to make a meaningful difference to brands, businesses, and people.
The Associate Director, Connections Planning will work closely with Client Leadership and Strategic Communication Planning to manage and grow client relationship. The Associate Director has the primary responsibility to own and oversee tactical media planning activities on assigned accounts and will heavily collaborate with internal investment teams. The Associate Director leads the team towards the overall account vision, creates new solutions for driving the business forward, and motivates team members to greater contributions.

A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT LOOK LIKE:
  • Work with the Connections Planning Director to define and establish best practices around media investment (Linear TV, Connected TV, Digital Video, Digital Display, Search)
  • Ensure the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to assure earnings, growth, and profit goals are achieved
  • Act as a coach for the Junior Connections Planning team
  • Oversee and work on the development and execution of assigned media recommendations and plans by functioning as a key liaison across all agency counterpart Investment teams including Digital, Programmatic, Social, Video, Search, and AdOps
  • Manages Junior Connections Planning team (planners and associate planners) to provide guidance on the day-to-day activities for the implementation of the media plan.
  • Works closely with all assigned media personnel in the group to assist with the analysis and evaluation of media information needed to prepare recommendations that best meet the media objectives and strategies of the plan.
  • Identify client goals/objectives and lead the development of strategies and tactics across channels against those KPIs for current campaigns
  • Stay current with consumer consumption habits, partner/publisher ‘first-to-market’ opportunities and emerging technologies as they relate to current campaigns.
  • Build strong relationships with client leadership counterparts
  • Mentor and guide Connection Planners and Associate Connection Planners to develop media recommendations
  • Grow and empower Connection Planners and Associate Connection Planners to manage client day-to-day tasks, while providing strategic counsel
  • Assist Client Leadership in the presentation of media deliverables (Tactical Plan Recommendations) to client, multiple times throughout the year
  • Work with Connection Planners and Associate Connection Planners to manage budgets across various lines of businesses, including granular campaign and publisher spends

  • Ability to take ownership of projects and lead group assignments is equally as important the ability to work autonomously on assignments
  • Comfortable working with budgets and has strong quantitative skills and detail oriented
  • Excellent written, presentation, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and respond within tight timelines successfully
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
