Samaritan’s Purse is seeking an Associate Maintenance Technician to support our maintenance staff with building and ground maintenance at our campus in North Wilkesboro, NC. A day in the life of an Associate Maintenance Technician:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of Associate Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
• Follow daily assignments regarding the maintenance of buildings and grounds, including painting, grounds care and lawn equipment maintenance.
• Keep accurate records for maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.
• Review daily work lists with Maintenance Supervisor at the end of each work day.
• Develop and improve skills in all aspects of building maintenance through participation in all approved training sessions.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Perform all work in a safe manner and follow all associated safety guidelines.
• Load and unload various equipment and supplies.
• Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual.
• Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors and volunteers.
• Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.
• Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified within the content of the job description.

Qualifications & Experience:

• One-year certificate from college or technical school and three (3) to six (6) months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Maintain a good driving record and a valid North Carolina driver’s license

Job Location: North Wilkesboro, NC

Type: Temporary, Full-time position (May 12- Aug 10, 2023)

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations: Less than 5 days of domestic travel

• We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society.
