Location : Carlsbad, CA

Salary R ange: $65,000 - $81,000 Annually, Plus Bonus Eligibility

Summary:

Participate in continuous improvement projects in golf club manufacturing. Provide manufacturing technical support including process monitoring and capability improvement. Assist in the development and alignment of plant quality systems to ensure conformance to the Acushnet Company quality systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in development and maintenance of documentation to support the Quality Assurance Team. This includes, SOPs, assembly documents, testing manuals, process documents and any other quality related support documentation.
  • Provide technical manufacturing support to domestic and international operations. This includes, but is not limited to, troubleshooting assembly processes and club assembly data.
  • Provide support testing of components when moving from prototype to production.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of specifications and testing procedures for raw materials used in golf club manufacturing.
  • Use technical quality tools including, but not limited to, SPC, capability studies, DOE, and Gauge R&R to ensure manufacturing processes are effective, efficient and produce a quality level that meets or exceeds a quality level detailed in manufacturing guidelines.
  • Conduct pilot builds and review pilot build study data to determine manufacturability of new products or proposed additions to the custom offering and verify the appropriate target specifications .

Q ualifications :

  • BS degree in technical related field is required. Certification in Six Sigma principles preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of quality tools including DOE, capability studies, and Gauge R&R .
  • Must have applied understanding of SPC and computerized quality systems .
  • Must have demonstrated leadership abilities .
  • ERP system experience a plus .
  • This position will spend extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment .
  • Some international travel required .
