Audio Visual Lead Technician Job at Technical Event Company
Job Description
Experienced technician able to set up and operate audio, visual, and lighting equipment for live events. Full-time, salaried position with travel.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Uphold safe practices and maintain a safe working environment.
- Lead crews, including delegation of tasks, time management,
- Set up and operate A/V equipment
- Trained in any A/V field a plus (Audio, Lighting and Video)
- Meet with event coordinators to discuss audio, video, and lighting elements for events.
- Troubleshooting equipment to ensure events run smoothly.
- Conduct sound, visual and performance quality checks of equipment prior to the event.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Audio Visual environment.
Required Skills
- Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision
- Be able to work effectively with other departments receiving and communicating.
- Be able to read technical materials and understanding of event outlines
- Work holidays and weekends, non-traditional hours, and occasional travel
- Familiarity with AV systems including Audio, Lighting, Video, Rigging, Computers and power distribution.
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, demeanor and ethics
- Must be flexible to accommodate shift changes including extended hours, weekends, and evenings
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. repeatedly, alone or with assistance
- Must have valid Drivers License and have your own transportation
