The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health & Human Services, Healthcare Facilities, Glencliff Home has a full time vacancy for an Audit Technician.
Summary :
Performs audits and process for payment expenditures from approved vendors related to consumable inventory procurement, accounts payable and cash transactions at Glencliff Home. Performs a variety of secretarial tasks to support the program area.

Responsibilities:

Inspects invoices and supporting documents to determine accuracy and authenticity of purchases and expenditures to ensure timely and accurate basis payment.

Orders supplies for department heads. Contacts departmental staff to verify delivery and accuracy of supplies received and if needed contacts vendors to verify or correct order(s).

Prepares invoices for payment and computes discounts when appropriate. Contacts vendors to resolve any discrepancies. Processes mileage reimbursement for agency employees.

Reconciles bank statements for facility trust accounts. Audit computer printouts by comparing data; make corrections and adjustments to the data.

Examines contract expenditures and records to insure contract specifications are met and not exceeded. Responsible for contacting vendor to rectify changes and ensure a smooth payment.

Maintains control records of purchase/rental agreements for equipment, oxygen tanks etc. Ensures that the proper purchase orders and or open ends are correct and expected for payment. Correctly deliver the information to the departments required to maintain equipment and agreements.

Utilizes knowledge of the NH First financial system to conduct a variety of financial transactions including deposits, requisitions, purchase orders, and prepare summaries and reports. Utilizes knowledge of the State contracting and vendor set-up processes to accurately establish vendors in the financial system.

Determines proper cost code information as part of the account payable/purchasing processes.

Provides general secretarial support, including form letters, vendor agreements and prepares rough and final report narratives as requested by supervisor, filing, and acts as primary back-up to the Switchboard and Warehourse operator. Provides information requested by the public and professionals regarding program services and if necessary routes telephone calls to appropriate personnel.

Maintains cash accounts for meal ticket sales. Documents each transaction in Excel spreadsheet to reflect reconcile sales, cash collection, and ticket numbers to maintain accurate and complete financial files.

Conducts training for department heads and new hires to explain the purchasing process.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Education: High School diploma or high school equivalency credential with courses in business, including arithmetic and bookkeeping. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Three years' experience in bookkeeping or auditing.

License/Certification: None required.
