Grow with us! Continuum Pediatric Nursing Services – the nation’s leading provider of pediatric private duty skilled nursing services - is seeking an Authorization Specialist who is organized, detail-oriented and deadline-driven.

This role will support the procurement of authorizations for our patient population, working in conjunction with clinical teams in each respective branch office, gathering required documentation per CMS regulations and Continuum standards, data entry, and reporting through the utilization of EMR Software. The position will report to and work closely with the Authorization Division Director regarding all aspects of authorization maintenance and administration. This is a full-time, on site position, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Check eligibility of client insurance plans
• Acquire and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all payer source requirements
• Collect all required documents per insurance payer source for authorization renewal
• Request and obtain initial authorizations
• Track submitted and pending authorizations
• Follow up with insurance companies about pending requests
• Follow up with provider(s) regarding expiring authorizations

Requirements:

• Must possess exceptional communication skills, the ability to multi-task and enter data efficiently and accurately.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be able to commute to our Vienna/Tysons, VA office location
• Prior healthcare administrative experience preferred
