Labeler Assistant Operator

Responsibilities:






Safely operate your specific machine, producing as much quality product as possible per the machine schedule/line up in your scheduled shift.







Must know and be able to perform all Lock-Out procedures as required per the LOTO procedures. Must know how to properly shut down all machine components in case of an emergency.







Must be able to read a specification sheet and be able to interpret a machine line up. Must be able to identify the different types of stock: Mottled White/Bleach/Kraft. Doublewall, Singlewall E/B/C flute stock.







Must understand the importance and demonstrate the ability to properly complete the quality checks, production information and waste details in the computer system. Quality checks include but are not limited to dimensions, label locations and board caliper.







Must be able to assit the operator to properly set and adjust label registration.







Must be able to assist the operator to properly set, adjust as needed and operate the feed section, glue unit, label feeder, stacker and load former.







Must understand and be able to properly use a mylar and print layout to ensure correct label application, location and orientation.







Must know all yield and waste control procedures.







Must know how to perform duties for Preventative Maintenance, end of shift daily clean up and weekend clean-up procedures.





Prerequisites


Education:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.


Work Experience:
Manufacturing or Industry Experience preferred.


Certificate/License:
None


Skills:
Working knowledge of label machine, use of mylar, print, die cut, label placement, and label mat sizing. Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machine as needed.


Training:
Trained on safety, quality, and operational areas of the plant.


Other Requirements:
Must be able to work overtime hours and weekends as needed. Ability to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time.
