Robert Horne Ford is Now Hiring for Mainine Technician's to join its team!

We are looking for Technicians Lube, to Mainline, Journey and up to Master Technicians. Technicians with independent shop domestic experience are welcome to apply!

Main line technician: Hiring all specialties and bumper to bumper technicians. Flat rate pay of $28-$45/flat rate hour flagged (preferably with Ford experience but not necessary, pay scale determined by experience)

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred, but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification preferred
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve Enjoy working in a dynamic environment Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Valid driver's license and clean driving record Highline brand experience preferred, but not required. •
• A technician capable of diagnosing and repairing any system of the automobile to dealership and manufacturer's standards with little to no supervision. Diagnose and repair to specifications -- brake, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension and alignment, perform all maintenance services.
• Perform maintenance services I.E. Brakes, fluids, filters, etc.
• Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules
