Job Description

· Resource will be responsible for AWS/Cloud architecture activities for the State of Indiana’s child support system known as Invest (Indiana Verification and Enforcement of Support).

· Resource will work in the Department of Child Services (DCS), Child Support Bureau (CSB) IT Office.

Responsibilities:

· This position ensures, established Invest AWS architectures are well architected; document if any gaps or architectural improvements identified.

· Communicate and discuss the gaps with Invest Work Group; Implement solutions for identified Invest AWS architectural improvements.

· Participate in Invest Knowledge Sharing sessions and obtain the knowledge about how the Invest AWS accounts and services are set-up and configured.

· Work with internal CSB-IT DevOps teams to design and build automation throughout AWS environment.

· Research and analyze new AWS services and Other Cloud services; Execute and document PoC results and Communicate to the Leadership Team, how the business-driven outcomes will be achieved by using these new services.

· Maintain Invest AWS Architecture documents and create new AWS and other Cloud architecture documents as required.

· Create and maintain Conceptual and Logical Cloud architecture models and diagrams.

· Review the High Availability, Backup/Restore and DR strategies/plans established for Invest; make necessary changes or modifications identified, by validating using well-architected framework.

· Review the Splunk Monitoring established for Invest Cloud Infrastructure and make sure this monitoring aggregates and analyses activity from all required resources logs; establish log ingestion for any missing/required logs; make changes to existing reports/dashboards and create new reports/dashboards.

· Provide Technical guidance to CSB-IT DevOps team as required.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Overall IT experience.
• AWS experience.
• Experience with setting up and managing SQL Server Always on Availability Group and SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Experience with AWS Data Migration Services (SCT, DMS) and migration of data from DB2 Z/OS to Aurora Postgres and DB2 LUW to Aurora Postgres.
• Experience with AWS CLI and Python and PowerShell Scripts.
• Experience using current architecture approaches (example: containerization, micro-services and server-less).
• Experience in Well-Architecting of AWS Faregate, Elastic Container Services, Elastic Container Registry, EC2 Instances and Application Load Balancers.
• Experience in Hosting .NET Core applications in Amazon ECS using AWS Faregate.
• Experience with Multi-account deployments using Cloud Formation templates/services.
• Experience architecting systems/solutions using AWS Aurora DB Clusters, AWS RDS, Redis and Elastic Cache.
• Experience Architecting the Scalable and High Available Systems in AWS.
• Exp incorporating five pillars operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization into technology solutions.
• Experience in Cloud Network architecture, establishing VPN tunnels, VPC peering and VPC's for different AWS accounts.
• Experience Architecting Backup/Restore and Disaster Recovery of AWS workloads and Databases.
• Experience using and maintaining S3, EBS, EFS, SES and FSx.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS Account Management, Balance Resource Utilization and Cost Optimization.
• AWS Solution Architect certification.

End-to-End Monitoring using Splunk (SaaS) SIEM tool is preferred

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $37.14 - $73.87 per hour
