Bakery Manager Job at Zallie's Fresh Kitchen
Major Responsibilities:
· Supervise bakers and bakery clerks
· Write weekly work schedule
· Assign daily tasks to bakery clerks
· Train new clerks in general baking skills and departmental procedures
· Complete all departmental paperwork
· Controlling operating costs and gross profits
· Direct customer service, take special orders, etc.
· Prepare product for baking
· Order raw materials
· Bake product
· Schedule productions
· Unload truck
· Maintain quality and safety
· Maintain sanitation standards, equipment and inventory control
Minimum Requirements:
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Prior supervisory experience
· Baking skills
· Working knowledge of commercial ovens
· Prior experience in mixing and controlling bread dough mixes
· Ability to routinely lift 50 -100 lbs.; to push/pull storage carts; to unload trucks
· Ability to communicate effectively in writing
· Satisfactory to exemplary work record
· Must have recommendation of management
· Must be able to work in any Zallie-Somerset locations
· Cake decorating experience a plus
· Must have knowledge of food handling/ food safety procedures
· Knowledge of production scheduling/planning techniques & ERO practices
· Experience with mixing specialty products and “from scratch baking”
· Strong mathematical aptitude; ability to calculate proper ingredient mixtures
