The Nest Bar & Grill and Falcon Lakes Golf Club is looking for a service-oriented Bar Manager to manage our growing restaurant and bar business. The Bar Manager will plan, direct, and oversee bar and restaurant operations including managing staff, ensuring product and service standards are met and implemented, and maintaining procedures for maximum operating efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Manage FOH and Bar staff performance
• Recruit, hire, and train staff
• Set and monitor quality and service standards
• Create and maintain restaurant and bar schedule
• Set objectives and targets for bar and restaurant
• Communicate company policies, standards, and procedures and ensure those are being met
• Ensure cash management procedures
• Monitor and order supplies
• Oversee purchasing, receiving, and inventory for bar and restaurant
• Set, monitor, and control budget for the bar and restaurant
• Maintain a proper cost of goods on bar and restaurant
• Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the bar and restaurant

Requirements and skills:

• Proven work experience as a Bar/Restaurant Managerwith an emphasis on bar service
• Working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Knowledge of cost control procedures
• Knowledge of human resource management practices
• Excellent organizational skills
• Conflict management abilities
• Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
• Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends

Benefits:

Health Insurance Reimbursement

$250 per month, paid bi-weekly. This amount may be impacted by the Company’s health care plan when it is in place.

Mobile Phone Reimbursement

$25 per month, paid bi-weekly

401(k) Plan

You can participate in the Company’s 401 plan upon meeting the eligibility requirements. Once eligible you will be able to contribute pre-tax or post-tax dollars from your paycheck. The Company is not currently providing a matching contribution.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

You will be provided 10 days of PTO per year, which you may use for any purpose (i.e., vacation, sick leave, bereavement, etc.) All PTO requests, when feasible, requires approval except for sick time. You may carry over up to 40 hours of unused PTO into the next calendar year. If you leave Falcon Lakes Golf Club for any reason and have a negative PTO balance, that negative balance will be deducted from your last paycheck. PTO accrues but it is not earned until an employee has been employed for three months.

Food and Beverage

When working at the course, you will be provided one meal and unlimited beverages (excluding alcohol and bottled beverages) at no cost. Off work time, you and your immediate family will get 25% off the retail cost.

Compensation:

Starting pay range between $50,000 - $70,000 dependent on experience.

Profit sharing - As the Bar Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the FOH operations at The Nest. As an incentive and reward for growing the business and maintaining the appropriate profit margins, you will receive 3% of the Net Operating Income (NOI) of the food & beverage operation, inclusive of the bar & grill and the banquet operations. NOI is defined as total gross sales of the food and beverage operation less the related cost of sales, labor, and supplies. The profit sharing would not be available if the cost of goods exceeds 35% or if labor exceeds 32%. Labor would include all labor costs related to the entire F&B operation, including management. The profit-sharing amount would be calculated and paid semi-annually within 30 days of the end of June and December.
