Job Title: Behavior Support Specialist (EBD)

About Us: We are a provider of educational and behavioral support systems for children who present with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in a public school setting throughout New Hampshire. We are seeking Full-time Behavior Specialists (EBD) ($38,000-$41,000 per school year)to join our team. PLUS ADDITIONAL HOURLY pay ($25 per hour) for after school and summer work.

Job summary: The Behavior Support Specialist works in partnerships with educators and related staff to provide academic, social-emotional, and behavioral support in a public-school setting for students with identified behavior disorders (EBD) on a 1:1 or small group basis. This is a school year contract position. This year our contract began on August 22 and ends on June 16,2023, a period of 43 weeks. During those 43 weeks, contracted employees are paid their full annual salary. We are currently looking for Behavior Support Specialists (EBD) in the following geographic areas: Plymouth, Concord, and Laconia.

Benefits:

· Pay range $38, 000.00-$41,000.00 per school year, based on experience

o *PLUS, HOURLY PAY AT $25 PER HOUR, ADDITIONAL INCOME DURING ESY AND SUMMER HOURS AT $25 PER HOUR*

· Training for employees to obtain their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or supervision for RBT’s and those working on obtaining their BCBA credentials

Responsibilities:

· Working with students with Behavior Disorders (EBD) in an educational setting

· Implementation of positive behavior support plans, de-escalations, and crisis intervention.

· Effectively communicating with people at all levels and from various backgrounds

· Understanding and adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols

· Strong documentation skills and attention to details

Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Education, Psychology, or related field

· Prefer registered behavior technician (RBT) or behavior specialist experience

· Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Positive Behavior Support (PBIS), crisis prevention/intervention, and de-escalation strategies

· Knowledge of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum

· Experience working with students with Behavior Disorders (EBD) in an education setting

· Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
