Behavioral Health Direct Support Professional (weekly on-call) Job at Nova Home Support

Nova Home Support Los Gatos, CA 95033

Weekly On-Call Direct Support Professional

Job Description: Help provide support to a sweet & endearing 17 year-old with developmental disabilities, serious mental illness, medical/ADL needs, & behavior challenges. Support takes place in his home and in the community. You will be working as part of highly skilled 3-person team of professional staff dedicated to improving his quality of life.

The position is overseen by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) working under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and several program managers.

Work Schedule: This position is for on-call work to fill up to 40 hours per week on day and/or swing shifts. This role is a good match for those with significant flexibility in their lifestyle. Each week, your supervisor(s) will let you know which portion(s) of which day and/or swing shift(s), if any, you will be asked to cover. As long as you are ready, willing and able to work, you will be paid for 40 hours each week, even if you are actually asked to work less than 40 hours in a given week. We anticipate that in most circumstances we will be able to provide several days’ notice as to which day and/or swing shifts you will be working in each upcoming week. When more advanced notice is not possible, we will provide no less than 24 hours' notice. (We will also consider candidates who are otherwise ideal fits, but can only commit to 32 hours per week rather than 40). Please contact us for additional details.

Compensation: $31.50 per hour.
