This is an incredible opportunity to join an innovative, trauma-informed team of behavioral health professionals in a variety of settings where you can be part of the solution in helping individuals in our community live their best lives. Full-time and Part-time positions available on our behavioral health inpatient unit at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, Maryland. High School Diploma required.
Providing a vast continuum of behavioral health care, including outpatient, primary care office, intensive outpatient, inpatient psychiatry, crisis center, and the emergency department, you will be able to thrive and grow professionally with our strong leadership team.
Our Patient Safety Companions work under the supervision and/or direction of the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse to provide direct observation of psychiatrically ill patients ages 18 to geriatric to ensure individual and unit safety. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing direct patient observation, maintaining situational awareness, and providing supportive social interaction. Also, possess the ability to assist the nursing team with de-escalation and management of disruptive behaviors in order to maintain a therapeutic milieu.
