BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL POSITION SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions and provide Behavioral Health treatment.
- Must hold an LISW, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent.
- Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- The Behavioral Health Professional performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
- The Behavioral Health Professional performs administrative consults for specialized social services as determined by the specific needs of the Institution.
- The Behavioral Health Professional performs specific psychiatric social service work on the Behavioral Health Unit of a Correctional Facility.
- The Behavioral Health Professional assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct special projects as requested.
- The Behavioral Health Professional participates in and conducts in-service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff and provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
- The Behavioral Health Professional attends training and meetings as required
