General Manager Position Objectives:

To plan and manage the retail operations of this scoop shop to include the planning, operations, leasehold and equipment maintenance, marketing and financial reporting of this location.

To ensure that the development and implementation of all systems fully support and comply with all franchise operating systems and exceed standard operating standards.

To ensure the proper hands on training support is provided. Training that focuses on daily operations, customer relations, staff orientation and cleanliness.

To train and develop a staff that provides a world-class customer experience. General Managers work the majority of their time working on the line serving customers with their staff.

STAFF: Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Scoopers.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Manage the operating plan and budget for the scoop shop including sales projections, margin goals, payroll, operating, and occupancy expenses, and inventory requirements.

2. Manage the scoop shop staff, ranging from 15 to 50 employees

3. Manage the training, orientation, and development for all store employees

4. Establish a motivating work environment that actively encourages and supports employee involvement with an eye towards possible job advancement that is aligned with individual goals.

5. Supervise the implementation of all store policies and procedures.

6. Implement the systems and procedures outlined in our Operating System Manual that will ensure the accuracy of all register, cash and financial transactions.

7. Accountable for the weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements. These include recording department sales, department cost of goods, payroll analysis, transaction averages, expense reports, inventory management and generation of monthly profit & loss statements.

8. Manage the procurement and storage of all on-site inventories.

9. Develop and manage the in-store marketing plan & assist with local store marketing as outlined by General Manager or Franchisee.

10. Accurately report on a monthly basis, the Sales & Advertising report in the required format outlined in our Operating system.

11. Supervise and organize the tasks needed to maintain the overall operations including store & staff appearance, customer service, cleanliness, compliance with all safety and operating standards, merchandising and promotional execution.

12. Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth store operations. Respond and handle all customer complaints.

13. Ensure the maintenance and safe operation of all equipment within the scoop shop.

14. Ensure the store is properly staffed at all times to maximize sales and control labor costs.
